|HIERARCH.PM||WinPMail v3.0+||This file contains the information about the individual settings and profile for each folder. The sort order, the unique folder id, not only for the actual mounted mailbox but for all mailboxes once mounted are stored in this ASCII databasese file.|
|FOLSTATE.PM||WinPMail v3.0+||When available, this file indicates the state of the folders and mailboxes (open/closed). This file is rebuild at startup froinformationon in the hiearch.pm file.|
|STATE.PMJ||WinPMail v3.0+||This file contains the information for all windows in WinPMail, its state, its location on the screen and any other window related settings (size, open/closed).|
|MAILBOX.PM||WinPMail v3.11+||This file contains the information about the mailboxes that should be opened on the next WinPmail restart. Those mailboxes are stored here, when they are open when closing down WinPmail, and when "Save desktop state between sessions" is activated.|
|*.PMG||WinPMail v3.0+||This file, that is located in the directory where a MBX-style folder is located, contains the index for that folder (like the *.pmi file does for Pegasus Mail own folders).|
|WINPMFUF.PM||WinPMail v3.0+||The most recently used files, used in the attachment pane in the message editor. (FUF= Frequently used files)|
|IMAP.PM||WinPMail v3.11+||This file contains the settings for the IMAP profiles in the Tools menu. Note: This file is only present when IMAP is used at least once.|
|*.PM5||WinPMail v3.11+||Those files contain the scripts for New Message templates, reachable by Shift F7.|
|*.PM6||WinPMail v3.11+||Those files contain the scripts for Reply templates, reachable by Shift R.|
|_INBOX_.PM||WinPMail v3.12+||Those files contain the information about IMAP inbox settings. Only available when IMAP is used.|
|IMAPSUB.PM||WinPMail v3.12+||Those files contain the information about IMAP folder and general settings. Only available when IMAP is used.|
